Sizes & Formats
Tree Sizes and Growing Options
Choose the size and growing format that best fits your planting plan, site conditions, and quantity needs. We offer trees as both tubelings and larger container-grown plants.
Native Tree Seedlings (Tubelings)
Tubelings are native tree seedlings grown in small containers that keep the young root system and surrounding media intact. We grow our woody species in one of two sizes, depending on the species.

Container-Grown Native Trees
Our container-grown native trees give you a more established plant at installation, with the root system and surrounding growing media kept intact until planting.
We offer five container sizes so you can choose the right fit for your project, species, and planting goals. Generally, the higher the container number, the larger the tree.
When Should You Choose Container-Grown Native Trees?
Choose container-grown trees when your project calls for larger, more established trees at installation.
They’re a good fit for projects where initial size matters, such as landscape installations, highly visible sites, or planting plans with specific size requirements.
Region & Zone
Find Native Trees Suited to Your Project’s Hardiness Zone
We supply native trees for projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and beyond, with many species suited to USDA Hardiness Zones 5–7. Hardiness varies by species, so your project location and site conditions should always be considered when selecting trees.
If you’re unsure whether a species fits your planting zone, send us your plant list and project location. Our team can help you confirm the right options before you order.
